The New England Lobster boat has always been the backbone of the Northeast fishing fleet. The Mainship Pilot 43/ 45 was the most recent of the Pilot designs from Mainship. She was the largest Pilot model in the range and she was conceived with the cruising power boater in mind. Two full sleeping cabins with queen sized sleeping berths, a master head with a large shower and a wet guest head provide the accommodations for cruisers who wish to travel long distances and have family or friends along for the adventure. Her hull Her hull is a modified v shape with a huge engine room aft below the cockpit.
The bright and airy main salon and galley of the Mainship 43 are surrounded by large opening windows, sunroof and a two part dutch door. Long range cruisers will appreciate her galley, fitted with two stainless steel refrigerator drawers mounted below the granite counter tops.
The helm station of the Mainship 43 reflects the needs of a serious cruisers. Two high back helm chairs for helmsman and mate and a navigational electronics pod large enough for two chart plotters make this space a navigators dream. The side deck door flows air in to the interior when underway and allows the helmsman to assist with docking maneuvers when arriving in port or securing a mooring.
The private master stateroom on the Mainship 43 is a very comfortable and accommodating space for the cruising couple. An island berth is easily accessed and there are multiple lockers and drawers for all of the personal effects that a cruising couple to take along. Overhead hatches and opening port lights provide air and light to this handsomely crafted space.
Rails all bow and safety rails are fabricated with oversize 316L stainless steel and welded to perfection. All stanchions are drilled and tapped into isolated aluminum plates that are bonded into the decks for a safe and secure fit.
Bolts High grade stainless steel bolts with oversize fender washers and lock nuts ensure a solid attachment for all cleats and deck hardware. Additional composite materials are added for even more strength and durability.
Stringers All stringers and cross members are fully encapsulated in fiberglass to prevent water intrusion. All limber holes are either gel-coated or glassed for added protection.
Hull to Deck Joints All Mainship utilize an outward flange that marries the deck to the hull. Top of the line 3M 5200 sealant is employed along with mechanical fasteners and a high density rub rail with a stainless steel insert. The result is a tough, leak free seal that can withstand continued punishment around the docks and piers.
Wiring & Panels All wiring is color coded and loomed throughout the boats. The AC/DC panels provide excellent access and the analog meters measure incoming power and usage. All breakers are backlit for was of operation and even replacement is easily accomplished.
