Powered by a single Lugger Alaska 6140AL main, producing 630 hp @ 2100 RPM, Bluebill cruises comfortable at 12-14 its and tops out at 19 kts while providing extremely economical cruise speeds at the low end.

Originally built in 1992-1993, this Custom 42 Sportfisher was built by Shaw Boats in Aberdeen Washington. The boat is owned by the original owner who has commissioned and had several custom boats built throughout his lifetime. Built with range, efficiency, and seaworthiness in mind it is equipped with a single Lugger Alaskan 6140AL main producing 630 hp at 2100 RPM.
Efficient cruise speeds range from 9 to 13 knots and with the efficiency and reliability of the Lugger main, this sportfisher is an extremely capable vessel for traveling and cruising long distance with excellent fishability along the way.
The cockpit is equipped with a custom bait system, teak decks and covering boards. There is a large amount of storage throughout the boat which comes in handy during long passages or extended fishing trips. The wheelhouse is accessed via a few companionway steps which also serve as engine room access when raised up. Upon entering the wheelhouse the helm is to starboard, a wet bar to starboard with sink and freezer opposite to port.
The helm has a full suite of Furuno and Simrad electronics, all controls within reach, and visibility is good at the helm. Maneuverabilty is aided with a variable speed Wesmar bow thruster.
Down a series of steps from the wheelhouse is the galley immediately to the port side, which is very comfortable, spacious and has all the amenities for extensive meal prep underway or on the anchor. To starboard is the power distribution panel on the aft bulkhead and forward of that is a large and very comfortable dinette.
Large bunks are forward in the bow providing a spacious and comfortable berth when its time to call it a day. Below the bunks is an abundance of storage which provides a smart and spacious area to keep organized.

Lugger 6140AL - 630hp @ 2100 RPM
The four cycle or four stroke diesel powered Lugger 6140AL is an inline 6 cylinder configured engine that is turbo charged and aftercooled and produces 630 horsepower at 2100 revolutions per minute. With a bore of 5.51" and a stroke of 6.49" the displacement is 930 cubic inches or 15.24 liters. The lube oil capacity is 10 gallons and the approximate dry weight is approximately 3500 lbs per engine.
