Extremely LOW HOURS on this very attractive and efficient downeast styled Mainship 34' Pilot.

The lobster boat has enjoyed an enviable position as the workhorse of the fishing fleet for years. The steep plumb bow and gentle rise of the sheer gives these boats the ability to cut through head seas while the rounded forward hull sections provide a soft entry. Flatter sections aft increase lift for speed and economy and the deep, full keel with a complete sand shoe gives stability and protection from grounding. Performance, agility and comfort are hallmarks of the Pilot Series.

New listing! Ideal for a cruising couple, the 34 is designed with an all-fiberglass exterior construction and features a sharp entry hull, delivering an easy-care, yet truly rock-solid ride with great economical diesel power. The transom door provides easy boarding and access, while the cockpit and helm area offers plenty of room for entertainment and relaxation. At day's end, you'll welcome the opportunity to retreat to the Pilot 34's relaxing living quarters. Step down into the large salon with its 6'4" headroom that features a deluxe portside galley, solid teak dinette to starboard that converts to a double berth. Unusual on a boat this size, the 34 also features a private stateroom with a v-berth that converts to a double berth, along with twin cedar-lined hanging lockers and cabinet storage. A full head with shower rounds out the interior package. Please click on "Full-Specs" to learn more about "Kaleen" For more information and a private showing, please contact our office today

Deck & Hull

Performance, agility and comfort are hallmarks of the Pilot 34, but economy should not be sacraficed. The easily driven hull is powered by a single reliable diesel mated to a large reduction gear and efficient propeller to derive the best, most economical ride possible. Handling around the dock can get exciting with a single screw boat, but the Sidepower bow thruster will make your life a little more relaxing.

Cockpits are where most of the time is spent on an express and the Pilot 34 has the advantage of space to work with. Double wide helm and companion seats flank the large hydraulically-assisted engine access hatch while the side lounges can double as berths with the removable backrests. A tilt up console means easy access to electronics and wiring and there is even a built-in insulated cooler box as well as a transom door.

This is an unusual opportunity to acquire a very low hour boat that offers the next owner a very bright future.
For boats, the ability to slot an engine as low down as possible, low in the vee of the hull has been critical. The straight six has thus become the configuration of choice, as the crankshaft is still not as long as to require heavy strengthening, there is more capacity advantage over a four, and a six is far narrower than a vee-eight.
Race proven performance is inherited. Power-to-weight ratio is even more startling. Endurance and fuel economy are at a level that only a diesel could achieve.
. It follows current user trends, ie the demand for more power and more speed. And because it is a diesel, smaller fuel tanks can be used saving hundreds of kgs of weight in a fast boat. A speed increase becomes immediately possible.
. Direct injection using ultra-high-pressure fine mist injectors makes for excellent economy together with superb performance, yet there is minimal smoke under hard use conditions. Fuel savings, precious energy savings, and an increase in safety accompany the change to a diesel.
. All service points are conveniently placed high on the engine. Renowned Yanmar reliability and parts backup complete the package.
An engine that will dramatically lift the performance of virtually ANY hull, and likely put you in the race winners seat, if you so desire
